Our Privacy Statement

When you become a member of or renew your membership with Highgate Harriers the club will collect certain information about you and the child if the application is made on behalf of a child which will include your name and name of child, date of birth, gender, URN*, email address, address, telephone numbers, names of other clubs you are a member of, nationality if a foreign athlete and details of any coaching or officiating licenses you hold. We may also ask you to provide relevant health data which is gathered to ensure the safe conduct of training sessions and participation in competition.

This information may be shared with club coaches or officials to administer training sessions and organise officials; with team managers, county and schools associations and other competition providers for entry and selection in events; facility providers to manage access to track or check delivery standards; and with the committee. This data will also be used to manage memberships forms and payments; publish race and competition results including on the club website. Team manager and officials will also use the data to keep you informed about competitions and to offer the opportunity to compete. We may send you a membership newsletter.
Anonymised data may be shared with a funding partner as condition of grant funding e.g. the Jack Petchy Foundation.

When you become a member of or renew your membership with Highgate Harriers you may also be registered, by Highgate Harriers, as a member of England Athletics (if you intend to compete for the club under the UKA Rules you will need to be registered). To do this we will provide England Athletics with your membership data. Should we do this England Athletics will contact you and enable you to have access to their online portal for you (called myAthletics). Its not possible to opt out of this as we are obliged to register first claim athletes with our governing body.
*URN this is the unique registration number issued by England Athletics.
