In Cassiobury Park, Watford on Sunday 26th March, in constant rain, Highgate's Over 60 three-man team, were victorious on the mud and grassland course.
The M60 team were 1st Alex Davidson, who has gone through the age groups winning Middlesex veteran titles, and this time, coming in ahead of last year's winner Mark Cursons and Chris Finill 'an ever-present London Marathon runner'
They were both from Harow A.C. The Highgate team were 1 Alex Davidson 28:10; 5 John O'Shea 32:50; 7 Chris Bailey 34:41. The points were 1 Highgate Harriers 13; 2 Harrow 17; 3 Trent Park 31.
In the Over 50's Chris Beecham was 2nd M50 in 39:01 behind Martin Potter of London Heathside who did 38:16. Other good Highgate men were 5 Duncan Burbidge 40:18; 10 Andrew Russell 46:41 and 11 Mark Watson 47:25. Two who scored amongst the women was 1st W55 Sabina Russell (30:49) and 3rd W45 Natasha Cendrowicz 34.59.
