On November 4th, In the 75th running of the Men's race for the Liddiard Cup, won previously by top runners like Dave Bedford, Richard Goodman and Mike Barratt; 138 finished this year in the the inclement conditions. Lewis Greaves of Highgate Harriers was 5th in 26:56; 14 Jon Laybourn in 28:32; 22 James Porcas 29:48 and Nick Cassell 36th in 31:26. Highgate were 4th in the 4 to score behind winners Serpentine RC. The individual who won the Liddiard Cup Trophy in first place was Seyfu Jamaal of London Heathside in 25:34.In the Women's race 69 ran and Highgate Harriers were 2nd with 42 Points behind Serpentine RC who scored 30 and the next teams were Ealing, S&M; TVH & QPH. Highgate's silver medal team were 8th Sabina Russell 34:29; 9 Natasha Cendrowicz 34:29; 12 Louise Faherty 35:41 13 Ellen Kerr 36:01. The winner was Katie Olding of TVH in 30:57.
