Charlie Haywood ran his personal best time in the Reading Half Marathon, on the 12th of April, with a time of 1hr 09 m 23sec. His previous best half marathon was at Paddock Wood last year, when he ran 1:10.28. His position, out of over 2000 runners at Reading, was 12th overall. The previous week, he was drafted into the 'A' team that came 3rd at Sutton Coldfield, in the National 12 stage road relay Championships. He ran well in the Met League races and came 6th in the Final one of the season at Trent Park in February, where Highgate were clear winners in the Mens' section, when it was all concluded in February.
