Night of 10k PB’s Race 9 (July 2019) 21.30

The Italian moved well in the race and won in a sprint finish

1 Yemaneberhan Crippa (Italy) 27:49.79 (Third last year in 27:44.21);  
2 Amal Petros (Germany for the winning team) 27:52.25                
3 Ben Connor (GBR) in a PB of 27:57.60

Crippa was a bit disappointed with his time, as it was just outside the qualifying time for the World Championships which is 27:40.0
He told me “last year was a better race.’
‘I started running 10 years ago as an eleven year old. I was a footballer then.
I enjoyed athletics as an individual sport. For me I find track is the better option than road or country.
Cross country is very hard and very cold and, I don’t like the cold.
I come from Trento near Verona in Italy and I run for a Police club.”
