At Highgate Harriers, our Young Athletes sessions are in high demand, covering a wide range of athletic activities. As a premier London running club, we strive to offer top-notch training and competitive opportunities to aspiring athletes.

Highgate Harriers is unable to accept young athlete enquiries at the moment.

We’ve had a large number of enquiries over the past few months and are working our way through them with the goal of providing a meaningful reply and training spaces for as many young athletes as possible. We are also working to revise the enquiry process to efficiently manage enquiries and a waiting list.

Please check back in January when we will be able to log enquiries for training spaces in the new year.

If you have a question related to an enquiry submitted prior to 17 September, please email%20ya [--at--] highgateharriers.org.uk (email ya[at]highgateharriers[dot]org[dot]uk).

Club Competitions and Summer Track Events

We actively compete in prestigious competitions such as the North West London Cross Country League and the Metropolitan Cross Country League, solidifying our reputation as a top London running club. These races occur on Saturday mornings from October to March, and are complimentary for all club Junior Members. While spikes are recommended, their necessity depends on the course and weather conditions.

During summer, we engage in the Middlesex Young Athletes League, with track meetings held at our Parliament Hill track and other local venues on Saturday afternoons.

Stay Safe On the Road

Our middle-distance athletes, especially, will often train on the roads. It's crucial to wear high-visibility clothing for visibility and safety.

Various tops, jackets, and tights with reflective features are available on the market for training nights. Additionally, we provide high-visibility jackets in different sizes that can be borrowed from the club room.

Coaches for young athletes may decline to take out anyone who isn't appropriately equipped.

Prioritizing the Welfare of Our Young Athletes

As a responsible London running club, we prioritize the welfare and safety of our young athletes above all else. For more details on our commitment to child welfare, please refer to our Child Welfare document.
