Lauren Deadman " It was a good race and we ran together. I started to tire half way round the second lap.
Coming down the final hill I picked it up a bit.I have only had three or four races after being injured. My coach Bill Foster would have been here today but he is on crutches after an operation on his knee."
Lucy Elliott ' She never entered veterans athletics till she was over 40 " I sort of disagree with it being 35 and I knew I was still running well at the time.'
About the race " I was really shocked running with all the younger women I could do that'
However she said " I started off quite steady and suddenly realised I could get third."
She added " At Winchester we have a great vets team."
