Highgate Harriers were placed 5th of the 11 clubs in the fourth and final Middlesex Young Athletes League match held at StoneX at Hendon on Saturday 30 July. They finished ahead of Ealing S & M, Thames Valley, Serpentine RC, Ealing Eagles and Queens Park Harriers with 50 points, while London Heathside won the match with 87. There were quite a few personal best Highgate performances, through the ages from under of 11 to under 17 and some outright winners. Among the Highgate winners were: Gabrielle Johnson (U17) 20.79 in the Javelin, Monisade Ayodeji in the under 15 girls high jump with 1.48, a personal best, and Elsa Shabani in the U15 girls shot with 8.63. In addition, Arjuna Pflug won the under 13 boys 1500m in 4:52.87, just outside his PB of 4:52.84, and Arthur Shaw was first in the under 13 boys high jump with 1.50, not far off his PB of 1.51.
