On Saturday 11th March, in the important CAU Inter Counties Cross Country Championships, that attracts counties from all parts of the country, Hannah Viner was the first Middlesex woman home in the senior race, finishing in 11th place with a time of 33:03. The Middlesex team were the fourth county to finish with 226 points behind the winners Surrey who scored 152. In the Under 17's women’s race Lauren Russell was the fourth finisher in 21:05 which was a very good performance.
In the Paddock Wood Half Marathon on Sunday 12th March there were 1,620 finishers, with Highgate runners well placed. Robert Wilson the cross-country Captain finished sixth in 1:09.11; seventh was Sean Renfer 1:09.14 and tenth was Charlie Haywood in 1:10.11. At one stage there was a strong wind against, and a following wind down the home stretch.
