Golds at the two day county Championships came in the cold winds of Saturday but, the sun came out for the the second warmer day's events on the Sunday, at Lea Valley.
Gold medals went to Arne Rosenthal with 38.70 in the discus; Under 17 competitors Alex Mulvihill in the 1500 in 4:27.73; & Louis Nuthall with 1'60 in the high jump. Elsa Shabani who won the U15 shot with 11,40. There was a good run from by Izzy Irons coming 2nd in 2:23.07 in the 800 and a bronze went to Said Mohammed-Mariche. Juliet Kavanagh who was also at Lea Valley adds Elsa Shabani (U15) who won the shot with 11m 40 had a National standard for the English Schools in that event. Hanya Peng 2nd in the U17 high jump with 1.40. Arne Rosenthal 42.29 in the the javelin placed him 3rd and Elsa Shabani did 26.65 for 2nd in the javelin U15 age group.
