At Loughborough in the Grand Prix meeting on the 10th of June, Alex Lepretre. ran a time of 14:06.54 for 5000m bringing his previous best of 14:27.23 in 2019 right down. In his race he was placed 4th of 18.
At the same meeting Terry Fawden, also, of Highgate Harriers, took his 1500m time down to 3:53.38 for a personal best. He was 2nd out of 16 runners.
Over last weekend. it was reported, that Lauren Russell, not only came 5th in the World Junior Mountain Racing Championships in Austria but was in the GB winning team,. Her adviser Hannah Viner, a prominent senior runner, has been advising her. Russell has just turned17 and, been so very good while studying at Highgate School, over the last couple of years.
