Highgate Harriers, ran in warm  sunshine, in the National Six Stage road relay, at Sutton Park, near Birmingham on the 7th of October. They finished ahead of 'close rivals' Tonbridge, Bedford & County, Birmingham, Bristol & West, and  Liverpool Harriers. Their final position was 7th out of 77 clubs that started the race. "I think they should make the first 10' said the team Manager Ben Pochee beforehand.          Leeds were the winners in 1:44:38 with Highgate  going round in 1:47.16.  The only one disappointed with his run was Alex Lepretre, who had run the Berlin Marathon, just under two weeks before and, had been at his peek earlier in the year.  It was evident that gradually coming back to  form was Roger Poolman.  A brilliant relay leg run, again, was by Jacob Allen, who led the 77starters for the first stage. The times of the team were Jacob Allen 16:55; Robbie Brown 18:06; Alex Lepretre 18:02; Roger Poolman 17:45; Terry Fawden 18:09; and Rob Wilson 18:16.

In the Women's National 4 stage relay Highgate Harriers, were 16th out of 82 club teams. Two notable runs were by Hannah Viner coming back from injury and the junior she advises Lauren Russell.

The 4 who ran from the club in the team were Yasmin Goater 15:24; Lauren Russel 15:14; Hannah Viner 15:13; and Nina Griffin 16:00. Team 61:51. Aldershot Farnham & District AC were 1st in 58:07.
