Highgate Harriers men came 3rd in inclement weather, in the National 4 stage cross-country relay, at Mansfield on Saturday, the 4th of November, ahead of good clubs like Shaftesbury Barnet, Morpeth and National six stage road relay winners Leeds City, City of York and Oxford University. The first three teams were 1 Cambridge & Coleridge AC1:02.04; 2 Aldershot Farnham & Distric AC 1:02.06 and Highgate Harrier 3rd 1:02.30. Terry Fawden came in 29th on Leg one in the good time of 15;57 and then Jacob Allen, in very good form lately, took the club up to 5th in 15:24,20, then Alex Lepetre took over on Leg 3 and took Highgate into 3rd then, the recent Met League winner Roger Poolman, brought Highgate home in 15:34.70.
