Ben Adams, part of Highgate Harriers Disability Squad, performed well at the London Indoor Games on Sunday 21st January. Ben, who is classified as a Cerebral Palsy athlete, competed in the 60m sprint against athletes who were not disabled and ran times of 9.32s and 9.31s. Ben, 31, said “I really enjoyed the competition and hope to run in more. I love training with Anthony on a Thursday night at the track”. Ben’s coach, Anthony Norris, said “Ben did really well, but most importantly thoroughly enjoyed the races."
Highgate Harriers work closely with Ben Dorsett of Camden Sport and Physical Activity Department to ensure Camden’s disabled community get the sporting opportunities they deserve, and the club is proud to ‘do our bit’. On Ben’s performance he said “It’s great to see Ben getting the opportunity to race as well as train, well done to him and Anthony”.
