Lauren Russell continues to run to a very high standard. On Saturday at Pontefract she was 7th, running for Middlesex, in the English Schools Senior Girls cross country Championships race, in which the first two were selected for the World cross country Championships!
Under 20' track and field exponent Remy Weinbrecht, a Middlesex Schools champion last year, was out performing well. He won the shot in the Tri-Counties (Middx/Herts/Kent) Indoor meeting at Lee valley with 13'20 and was 2nd in the 60m hurdles with 8.55. He also did a 3'10 pole vault at the Brunel Indoor meeting before that in March.
Last year Chris Button, a senior with Highgate, showed his potential in hurdling. He did 1.85 for the high jump winning that event at The Tri-Counties meeting, held on the 16/17th of March.
A new name Jonathan Boardman ran a 2:05.3, 800m for 2nd pace in his race, Gabriella Johnson won the the 4k shot with; Monisada Ayodeji did 1,55 to win the Women's U17 high jump,; Arthur Shaw was a good winner with 1.60 in the Under 15 high jump, equaling his Personal Best.
