Sub 2:40 marathons by Highgate men are now becoming common place.
At the start of the month Jack McVann, ran a  personal best time of 2:32.18 in the Copenhagen marathon, wiping away his previous best time of 2:35.18 of 2022.. In the Generali Genveve Marathon, Roland Turnell-Ritson ran to a personal best time of 2:35.26 in his first recorded marathon.
Back in the UK was the British Universities Track & Field Championships at Sports City, Terry Fawden, Highgate's Middlesex Champion in deep mud at the start of the year came 2nd for Cambridge University in the 3000m steeplechase in 9:01.85, which was a person best time. Highgate's Zacharia Cohen, also did a personal best time in 4th place in  9:14.66. Harry Allen was 2nd in the 5000min 15:56.63. Monte Watson ran 31:23 for 2nd in the 10,000 and won the Gateshead 10k road race in a personal best time of 31:52.
