We have a 17 year old wheelchair athlete, Illias Zghoundi, who is fundraising for a new high level competitive racing wheelchair. Illias made his start in wheelchair racing at Highgate Harriers under our Disability Coach Anthony Norris, and has gone from strength to strength, winning many medals. He is now coached at the Weir Archer Academy, his coach is Jenny Archer who also coaches David Weir, and his performances have earned him a place in the England Athletics Para Academy. While Illias is a member of the Weir Archer Academy he is also second claim Highgate and regularly returns to our track for sessions with Anthony, and he and his Mum are very appreciative of the support the club gave him at the start of his journey.
