After the 3rd and final match (due to the 4th fixture being cancelled due to the lack of a host club), the first three teams of seven, on the 14th of July in the Southern league T&F North London were -1 Watford 1025.5; 2 Highgate /Mornington 920; 3                  Serpentine RC 781. In the meeting at Lee Valley there were several Highgate Harrier's personal best performances. In the 800'A' & 'B' had a double victory. Joseph Young won the 'A' in1:55.0 not far outside his PB of 1:54'20 and Monte Watson, who did a PB of 2:00.7. to win the 'B' He also ran a PB in the 1500 4:01.57 to win he 'B' also. For the 'A' in the A' 1500. It was won by Flurry Grierson in 3:59.4. He had been noted for coming third in a recent Metropolitan league cross-country race.   Millie Pettit won the women;s' A' 3000 in a PB of 10:51.1 and Janine    Janine Makaradis of Mornington Chasers won the 'B' in 11:29. Under 17 woman Monica Ayodej  did  a good 1'50m  high jump as an Under 17' to win the 'A' and the 'B' went to Alyah Osman with a PB of 1'40. Katrina Kelly not only came 2nd with a PB in the 2000m with 8:47.1 but also won the shot with 9'21.Gabriella Johnson did 8.21 shot and won the javelin 'A' with 26'69. Ochuk Edward, an Under 20, won the long jump with 6'15 and won the triple 'A' long jump with 13'37.Two who won 'B' string points were Jozef Lock with a 5'47 long jump and Josef Herbert with 9'80 in the triple jump event.
At Tooting Bec BMC Regional meeting. on the 24th of July Harvey Weisenberger again brought his best time down with a1:53.0. He is now coached by Andrea Speccatrosi of Highgate Harriers. Another fast run was in the 'D' race when Highgate's Joseph Young. who did a personal best 1500 with a time of 3:49.40.
