On the 4th of September, in the evening, conditions were good with no rain and well attended.
Two senior results stood out as high quality performances. Sam Jones of St Albans ran 49.51 to do the fastest time for the 400 on the night air, not a long way from his personal best of 48.7 he did in 2019 and, in the V75 Highgate's Tony Richards did a Personal Best mark of 12.05 metres for the shot. A wonderful 75 year old competitor! Oscar Fletcher, an Under 17 athlete won his 400 race in a personal best time of 59:12. Even more impressive was Joe Drinkell, an Under 17 runner, who did a PB of 4:35.39 for 1500.
Some others with PB's recorded over 1500 were Joshu Malkiern 4:13.311; Sam Bays 4:14.73; Rory Clark 4:26,6 and Zak Hassan 4:30.05;
Under 17's in the 100m had personal best times and they included Eva Brumma 13.7; Bradley Baka11.79 & 200 in 23.25 Under 20 sprinter Isah Ladejo ran 11.18' for his 100. Elise Felton an under 15 girl ran a 100 in 13.81 and Robin Ross a boy Under 13, did 14.64 for his 1000 as a PB.
Ajuna Pflug, showed his potential for the future' as a boy under 15. He ran 8:57;69 for 3000m, a remarkable time for an Under 15 runner and, places him third in the whole United Kingdom this year for his age group. Sonny Allen (U15) ran a PB 3000 of 10.00.81. Two seniors who did 3000 personal best performances Alex Jackson 9:04.43 & Rebecca Johnson 9:011.51.
The best high jump of the day was by senior Charlie Button who went over 1.85.
Arthur Shaw did a personal best for Under 15 with 1'69 for the high jump and well known, over 50 field events man James Rossiter, did 9'10 for the shot putt which was a PB.
