2024 QuadKids has signed off for the year with a RECORD. Good attendances from the outset- 60 -70 children had a chance to take part in 4 distinct events in track and field. Very much due to the wonderful organising and work from Brenda Myers, the monthly event gained popularity throughout the season and its final version last weekend saw the biggest number yet- 107 children aged 3 to 11!
The event requires a number of helpers on the day and I know Brenda would like to thank all those who have helped out throughout, those who have been able to do one or 2. And huge thanks to our young club athletes- Lili, Faduma, Eloise Izzy, Arjuna, Emily and Hettie who help out- inspiration to all aspiring Olympian wannabes!
And from QuadKids some new cross-country stars have been discovered. At the first North West London League in Greenford, a young U11 team took on not just the usual clubs in North London, but clubs usually in the Chiltern League (apparently some couldn’t wait for their fixtures to start). With five competitions to contest over the season, watch this space for individual results and highlights.
