Started the season with a warm sunny day in Greenford. By our 3rd NWL with Storm Bert for company, our youngsters were beginning to experience what XC is all about!!

A very promising sign from the U11s is that many competing will have at least another year the age group. Notable performances  from this cohort- Florence Phillips (pic 318), Owen Lewis, Alex Fuzesi, James Mainwood, Adam Said and Hartley Choppin. Florence and Owen have made the top 10 in the North West London League.  At the top of the age group Rupert Carefull  (pictured 13)) has been the top HH  finisher in 2 of NWLs and Anna Murray’s claimed same accolade in her first race for the Harriers in Trent Park when, like the weather, she stormed round.  The future looks good with Cali Le Mesurier, Kit Hanna-Woof, Valerie Pak, Eliza Felix,  Erin Elliott Boarder and Holly O’Shea.

Amongst the U13 girls Carys Tomlinson and Ira Agrawal are regularly at the NWL.  Hopefully Alex O’Brien will put injuries behind her soon and resume where she left off- in the top 5 of the Met Leagues. Amongst the boys, Jack Cobbold, Alex Pettican are well supported by 1st years Robert Mainwood and Mohamed Omar and recent newcomer Javier Shepherd.

The U15s the boys squad is made up of Zain Broachi, Luke Tomlinson, Aron Sinko Uribe, Horace Wallace, Arun Kelly and Arjuna Pflug. Looking forward to seeing them over the County Championships in the New Year, with team medals and individual selections well within their grasp. Arjuna has had a busy season with his high point at the LYGs  over Parliament Hill which  he won convincingly. Sonny Allen (U15 girls) has just returned from injury and race preparations for the various championships in next part of the season are well underway (1st NWL at Trent Park, 2nd Met League Hillingdon) .

In the U17s.  Eloise Lindley, Lizzie Wortsman, Leoni Delvendahl, Josephine Luis and Louise Barou earned a top 10 finish in the South of England XC relays.  Amongst the boys - Joe Drinkell, Theo Brayman, and Wenbo Du are competing at every opportunity. Harris Austin had the 2nd fastest leg  in SEAA XC relays  and another  2nd  in LYG.
